Wondering what skincare ingredients will work for your skin? Look no further!

This guide breaks down what each element does for your skin and how you can pair them with the natural ingredients found in CLARISMA Beauty products! Check out our special skincare cheat sheet to learn how to exfoliate, hydrate, protect, and more to get you your best skin yet!

Week 1: Niacinamide + Fruit Enzymes

During week one, we started by learning about fruit enzymes and Niacinamide, and how they work together. Specifically, pineapple & papaya enzymes are rich in vitamins C and E, that work to brighten and moisturize while gently exfoliating dead skin cells to reveal a bright, radiant complexion. Niacinamide helps to firm, hydrate, and reduce redness in the skin.

If you have oily skin, use your CLARISMA Daily Cleanser, Exfoliating Scrub, and Niacinamide daily.

If you have dry skin, you should use your Daily Cleanser two to three times per week followed by Niacinamide every single day.

Week 2: Neem Oil + Bakuchiol

Neem Oil is antibacterial, antifungal, and hydrating, making it great for breakouts. Found in CLARISMA’s Enzyme Complex, Neem Oil provides essential hydration in the Daily Cleanser & Exfoliating Scrub. Next, we discussed Bakuchiol, a natural and more gentle alternative to retinol, derived from Babchi seeds. This extract is great for smoothing and reducing breakouts, fine lines, and wrinkles.

Both ingredients are safe for daily usage and will benefit all skin types. To achieve smooth, healthy skin use Bakuchiol followed by a product containing Neem Oil!

Week 3: Hydration Week

Using hydrators like Hyaluronic Acid is great for the skin because it attracts water, but when using ingredients like this, it is just as important to use ingredients that soothe and moisturize the skin like Oat Extract. Oat and Oat Avenanthramides are found in all CLARISMA Beauty products!

Oat Extract and Hyaluronic Acid work well together because the oat calms and soothes, allowing the skin to retain hydration much better. This means your Hyaluronic Acid will be able to plump and hydrate the skin more efficiently.

Use this duo daily to give your skin the ultimate hydration boost.

Week 4: Free Radicals Week

During Week 4 we touched on free radicals, which are unstable molecules that damage skin cells. Canadian Willowherb, a sister to Salicylic Acid, is an antioxidant that attaches itself to free radicals to help prevent the appearance of aging. It also exfoliates your skin, revealing bright and beautiful skin. Willowherb is so amazing, it’s featured in all CLARISMA Beauty products! Another ingredient that works against free radicals is Rose Extract; it is an antioxidant that helps diminish signs of aging, very hydrating and great for de-stressing for the skin.

These ingredients are also gentle enough for daily use!

Week 5: Bamboo + Squalane

Bamboo is useful for absorbing excess water and balancing oil production, this gives the skin a mattified, radiant glow. The Daily Moisturizer contains bamboo to provide a stunning finish (or even the perfect makeup base!). The second ingredient of the week was Squalane, which is an oil that is high in essential fatty acids. We spoke about Squalane derived from olives, not shark liver! These fatty acids are good for nourishing the skin and protecting the skin’s natural barrier.

Both of these ingredients are beneficial for everyday use, but if you’re oily, it may be beneficial to use Squalane two to three times per week.

Week 6: Citrus Week

Caviar Lime is a gentle ingredient that exfoliates and brightens the skin. Caviar Lime is an essential part of the CLARISMA Enzyme Complex, so much so that you can find it in every product! Caviar Lime is safe for daily use and can provide an overall brightening effect to your complexion. Vitamin C is similar to Caviar Lime in that it exfoliates and brightens, but it takes it to another level! It is a great ingredient to use when you want to target dark marks on the skin.

To brighten specific areas, apply Vitamin C twice a day. Be sure to apply SPF when using this ingredient to help your skin fight against harsh UV rays.

However, if you have sensitive skin try using Caviar Lime products a few times a week or every other day. (Still always apply your SPF!)

Week 7: Monoi Oil + Green Tea

Monoi Oil is derived from Tahitian Plumeria flowers and is great for increasing hydration while soothing the skin. It’s extremely nourishing, which makes it great for sensitive skin. You can find Pacific Monoi Oil in CLARISMA’s Clarifying Night Mask & Energizing Mask. Green Tea is one of the best antioxidants out there. It attaches to the free radicals that try to damage the skin and it counteracts them. Both of these ingredients combined are great for sensitive and dry skin.

Week 8: Acaí + Caffeine

Week 8 focused on kitchen ingredients! Starting with Acai, a great antioxidant for combating environmental aggressors while naturally increasing hydration levels in the skin. You can achieve this benefit with any one of CLARISMA Beauty’s incredible products. Caffeine is another common ingredient that acts as cellular energizer that is great for using on the body for concerns like cellulite, but only use it on the face one to two times per week.
